I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
